A planet in the distant Orii (Alterran) home galaxy, inhabited by the descendants of the Alterans (Ancients & Orii); Celstis is a so-called 'paradise' planet, the baston of the Empire, having become the religious, spiritual, military & political captial of the galaxy-wide Alterran Empire since the defeat of the Orii & the emergence of the Alterrans as a true inter-galactic super-power. Celestis is the location of Ver Eger, a village populated by humans who worship the Orii; famous for being the first meeting place between Daniel Jackson & Vala Mal Doran of the Milkyway & the residents of the Alterran Galaxy which would eventually spark the Holy Crusade between the two galaxies. The Plains of Celestis - also found on this planet - is the location of the City of Celestis, the home of the Doci (the head priest of the Orii) & the Flames of Enlightenment where the Ori once resided; which is now the leadership centre of the Holy Alterran Empire.

The Plains of Celestismhngbfvd The City of CelestisThe City of Celestis (also know as the 'City of the Gods' for obvious reasons) is a great golden fortress that lies amid the Plains of Celestis; a stunningly beautiful landscape which inspires awe & wonder into the hearts of those whom gaze upon it, impressive in both size & majesty. The chambers of the Doci & the Flames of Enlightenment exist within; as well as a reception area containing a large, hard-bound copy of the Book of Origin. It is here that a great order of monks studies to become Priors in the service of the Orii, delving deep into the mysteries of Origin as they study the road to enlightenment. It also the place where the Alterran High Council convenes to decide matters of import & discuss policy which effects the trillions of Alterrans on the countless worlds through the Empire all over the Alterran Galaxy. Other features include the Chamber of Solitude - a special room (once occupied by the Ascended Adria) containing a small wooden table with a hard-bound copy of the book of Origin & a flaming symbol of the Orii faith - where individuals may comptemplate their path to Ascension in complete seclusion & privacy; as well as holding cells for the more dangerous, or high-profile prisoners, whom are closely watched over, & montiored by, the Priors before facing trial by the High Council & a jury of their peers.

The place where Daniel & Vala connected to the minds of Harrod & Salis when they first made contact with the Orii, the village of Ver Eger is home to a thriving society of Orii worshippers, as well as former members of the anti-Orii underground.
A regular greeting amongst Ver Egerans is 'Above the Sun'.
Verg Eger is famed for it's clensing (ordered by the Doci himself), which marked the beginning of a new age for Alterrans everywhere & the beginning of the war whic would lead ottheir Holy Crusade to convert & conquer the Milkyway Galaxy.
Since the defeat of the Orii & their de-programming at the hands of the Ark of Truth, the village of Ver Eger has become a symbol of the new age of Elightenment, marking the transition from total dependence on the Orii, through the Holy Crusade of 2007/2008 A.D., to the establishment of the Alterran Empire in the current day.

The mountain of Ord Mallum (literally 'Mount of Evil') is mentioned in the Book of Origin as 'the place from which all Evil sprang forth' & is said to be the place where the Orii 'defeated the old Spirits & cast them out'.
Further scientific & archaeological studies have since proved that these passages from the Book of Origin, like many fables, not only have a basis in reality, but accurately reflects the Orii's final defeat of the Ancients & their exodus from the Alterran Galaxy; Ord Mallum being their place of last refuge before their flight from Celestis & journey through the Ida Galaxy before eventually settling in the Milkyway & Pegasus Galaxies.
It was also the burial site of the Ark of Truth, found by Daniel Jackson & Vala Mal Doran of SG-1 & her former husband, the Orii Worshipper Tomin, which was used to defeat the Ascended Adria & bring a hault to the Holy Crusade which officially ended the war between their followers & the peoples of the Milkyway.
Although there is still alot of fear, superstition & stigma attached to Ord Mallum, it has none the less become a holy site of sorts, attracting many brave (some would say foolish) pilgrims whom come to visit the ruins of the Ancients underground stronghold & learn more about their links with this up-until-now forbidden & forgotten era of their far-distant past.
It has also become a mecca for archaeologists, scholars & scientists, whom comb over the ruins of Ord Mallum scouring for clues, evidence, artefacts & technological remains left behind by the Ancients during their final flight from Ord Mallum; eager to learn of their distant past & uncover the hidden treasures which link them with their past, & provide solace for the future.
