The following is a list of all personelle involved in Stargate Command, from the Commander-In-Chief to every SG team - active & inactive - currently in operation.
Stargate Commander[/u]
Chief Commanding Officer: General Hank Landary.
Key Duties: To command the base of operation for Earth's off-world surveillence & assign missions to all active Stargate Command units.
Location: The lower levels inside Cheyennne Mountain Military Complex, beneath NORAD.
Superiors: Brigader General Johnathan 'Jack' O'Neill (Head of Homeworld Security), United States Government. Landary takes his orders directly from General O'Neill (whom, as Head of Homeworld Security, oversees all projects relating to the Stargate & Earth's defense - including Area 51 & the FO3 programme) &/or the President of the United States of America (whom can override both O'Neill & Landary in any matter relating to their respective jobs if needs be). He is also obliged to take the opinions & recommendations of the I.A.C. (International Approperiations Committee), as representatives of the countries of China, England, Germany, Canada, Russia & France - which make up the the list of other Earth nations involved in the Stargate program - into account when forming policy & procedures on-base (even if he doesn;t necessarily agree with them).
Stargate Head of Medicine:[/u]
Chief Medicial Officer: Doctor Carolyn Lam.
Key Duties: Head of medicial
Location: The lower levels inside Cheyennne Mountain Military Complex, beneath NORAD.
Superiors: General Hank Landry (SGC Base Commander), United States Government. Dr. Caroyln Lam replaces the late Dr. Janet Fraiser as Chief Medicial Officer & head of the SGC's medicial staff. Sometimes estranged from her no-nonsense father, base commander General Hank Landry, Dr. Lam is nonetheless a brillant young doctor, specializing in exotic diseases & complex medicial treatment; making her a perfect choice to chair the SGC's medicial board. Painfully aware of the void left after the death of Janet Fraiser, Dr. Lam has taken great care to ensure the continued health & well-being of her patients - knowing that whilst she can never replace Dr. Fraiser (nor would she ever try to) - she must nonetheless get on with doign her job. This empathy for her patients, combined with her professional bedside manner has helped endear her to SGC personnel; whom have come to view her as an assest to the SGC & a welcomed edition to it's medicial staff.
SG-1 (Flagship Unit)[/u]
Status: Active.
Key Duties: Standard recon, archaeology, alien technology & scientific study.
Commanding Officer: Lietenant Colonel Cameron 'Cam' Mitchell.
Second-In-Command: Lutenant Colonel Samantha 'Sam' Carter.
Other Teams Members: Dr. Daniel Jackson (Linguist, Archaeologist), Teal'c (Goa¡'uuld Advisor), Jonas Quinn (Linguist, Archaeologist, Cultural Expert), Vala Mal Doran (Inter-Galactic Informant, Ex-Smuggler, Orii Expert).
A crack team specializing in all areas of expertise needed for inter-galactic relations; SG-1 is the flagship team of the SGC. Instantly recognizable & highly praised by most - if not all - members of the SGC, SG-1 has thrawted a number of attempts by the Goa'uuld to bring Earth & it's allies to their knees. Originally comprising of Commanding Officer Colonel Johnathan 'Jack' O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Samantha 'Sam' Carter & Teal'c, the team dynamic has undergone a transformation & shift in direction since O'Neill's promotion to the Commander in Chief of Stargate Command as Brigader General, then found itself without a leader - eventually disbanding - when Jack was promoted to the Head of Homeworld Security, replacing long time former Commander-In-Chief & commrade in arms, Major General George Hammond.
Following the assignment of Colonel Cameron Mitchell to the team - coupled with the return of one-time team member Jonas Quinn & contenteous firebrand Vala Mal Doran - SG-1 was re-assembled & put back on active duty; needed all the more now that the Orii have made their evil intentions to covert & conquer the Milkyway Galaxy. SG-1 has seen more action than any other SG team at Stargate Command, & has become a beacon of light, hope & inspiration to all of the SGC & whom know of it's existence; having been involved in every mission (including the original mission through the Stargate to Abydos to the present day), & has been personally responsible for helping defeat the Goa'uuld System Lords & the Replicators, hopefully for good. All in all, SG-1 is a team that stands a cut above the rest; one that inspires, brings hope & spurs on their friends, fellow staff & allies, both on Earth & offworld, & - for what it's worth - the SGC, indeed history itself, would be much different without them. . . .
